We want YOU to help ring in our 5th year. Party with us and our extended family! We'll toast, network and continue to cultivate our dynamic community of green and social innovators, and good friends. We'll also make exciting announcements and hear from local leaders. 

Green Spaces has become a coworking, social entrepreneurship movement - an incredible ride, thanks to the support, friendship and community love from you.

To be a Celebration Partner, a core part of the fun, you can host a table about your initiative, invite friends, and be on our official event promotions (coming soon). We simply ask for a $100 contribution, going toward event costs.

How to Build a Sustainable, Sane Science Writing Career
Monday 5/6, 7-9pm @ Green Spaces

Whether you're a seasoned professional, brand new, or just curious about science writing, you'll want to meet Adam Aston, Jill U. Adams, Alison Fromme, Emily Gertz, Andreas von Bubnoff, and Sarah Webb, contributors to the brand new book, The Science Writers' Handbook: Everything You Need To Know To Pitch, Publish And Prosper In The Digital Age. 

They will share personal stories from the trenches of science writing - tales of frustration, victory, danger, and more. Afterwards, the crew will address questions. 

We'll discuss topics such as finding and crafting a story, pitching to publications, dealing with emotional issues like isolation and envy, work-life balance, understanding business structures, negotiating contracts, or handling ethical matters. Whatever your level of experience, you're invited to come chat, share, and learn. We'll serve light refreshments and have books available for sale. RSVP soon as space is limited.

Public Private Partnerships Forum :: 
The 'HOW' Behind Cross-Sector Collaboration
Tuesday 5/7, 6:30-9:30pm @ Green Spaces
IMA International is hosting a forum for public and private sector professionals, who will discuss how to establish and sustain cross-sector partnerships.

Panel speakers will share cases to highlight the main challenges faced at each stage of the partnership cycle, and the practical actions they took to progress through. Panelists include:

Green Spaces is proud to support its Creative Sparks initiative, 1:30 to 3:30pm, 10 participants compete for micro funds, mentorship and 30 days of Green Spaces Membership. Cofounder Marissa Feinberg will be on the judging panel.

GoodCompany Opportunity for $500,000 Social Impact Investment

GoodCompany Group is pleased to announce that the final deadline for application to the 2013 GoodCompany Ventures social enterprise accelerator will be May 10th. It's program is for organizations developing innovative solutions to address unmet social needs into for-profit enterprises that can scale for global impact.
