Accelerator Program
Green Spaces offers informal programs and services that have caused us to be recognized in reputed publications by renowned journalists about incubators and accelerators: NY Enterprise Report, Crains, The Huffington Post, among others.
We have accelerator-like features, allowing our startups to gain access to investors, peer-to-peer feedback, mentorship, education, networking, curated connections and more:
- Regular pitch nights, where entrepreneurs meet investors and get feedback, evaluating them for potential investment. Past events include AGRION Cleantech Pitch Slam, Tiltnyc, and Pitchcrawl.
- Membership with Mission Markets' online portal, exposing Green Spaces member companies to their network of investors for potential investment, feedback and due diligence (launching in November 2012).
- Regular Skillshare classes. Recent classes include: DIY PR for Startups, Gold Medal Leadership, Investment Banking 101, How to be Internet Famous, How to Write a Killer Magazine Pitch, Building Your First iPad or iPhone App, Lead Engineer's Class, among many others.
- Weekly feedback idea bounce sessions for members to find solutions to business challenges, which we blog about in Forbes.com's entrepreneur section.
- Daily "curated connections," connecting members with business professionals they need to grow: mentors, coaches, accountants, lawyers, marketing, PR, developers and more.
- Weekly events, offering education, community cultivation, and business networking for members. Recent events include TEDster Noam Kostucki on Gaming for Business Strategies, TED Breaker iGiveMore: Revolutionizing Philanthropy, Making Green Normal: Natural Product Marketing in Mainstream Media, Social Venture Network Local Celebration for 25th anniversary, among many others, listed on our partners page.
Members have access to these programs as part of their value. We are in the process of developing a more formal program.
